Kajol’s stunning looks in DILWALE worked on the lines to enhance the young looks for Rajinikanth?

The DILWALE trailer staring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol has generated a mixed response among the viewers. While some are going gaga over the spectacular eye catching locations and the incredible Jodi of SRK and Kajol, other feel the trailer is predictable like other Rohit Shetty films with pinch of romance, action, comedy and the usual cars blasting in air.

Though opinions are divided over the trailer but there is one thigh that is unanimous and that is the stunning look of Kajol, who is looking charming and gorgeous. Though the actress is over 40 and a mother yet she looks stunningly beautiful.

One wonders is it really her grace or is it the cunning camera work and make- up tricks as employed to enhance the young looks for South Superstar Rajinikanth?

According to make-up artiste R Sundaramurti, who styled Rajinikanth in his debut film APOORVA RAGANGAL (1975) and worked with him until CHANDRAMUKHI (2005) Rajinikanth's dusky complexion has helped an important feature in keeping him `wrinkle free' and ageless!

In an interview he said, “I have observed that fair-skinned actors age faster. The creases and wrinkles show faster and are more pronounced. But in case of dark skin people, even if the wrinkles appear they can be carefully ironed out with a little clever costume design.”

Now we know the secret behind the glowing look of Kajol because since she is also dark complexion like Rajinikanth hence the make-up artist could easily hide her age and made her look gorgeous and bewitching.

Thala Ajith overshadows Superstars Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and Vijay!

Thala Ajith, recognized as the ‘Monarch’ of box office and reputed for ‘Highest Opening Day Collection’ has lived up to his image with his latest movie VEDALAM.

What’s more this time he has left behind even Superstars Rajinikanth and Vijay as his film VEDALAM has collected between Rs 14.5-16 crore, on day one, in Tamil Nadu. The amount is reported to be the highest opening day collection in the annals of Tamil Film Industry!!!

Earlier superstar Rajinikanth's LINGAA in Tamil Nadu received the biggest opening day collection of Rs 12.8 crore. It may be noted Rajinikanth had broken the record of young and dynamic superstar Vijay’s movie KATHTHI’s box office day one collection which was Rs 12.5 crore but Ajith’s VEDALAM has crossed all limits and registered a tremendous edge over the two superstars with a huge margin of over four crore. Incredible indeed!

And that not all Ajith also gave a run for money to the other veteran superstar of Tamil Cinema Mr. Kamal Haasan. Incidentally Haasan’s much published THOONGAVANAM also released on the same day but it proved a mere pigmy in front of the mighty Ajith’s VEDALAM.

Trade pundits reveal the movie could not create much fireworks at the box office probably due to the magnetic charisma of Ajith Kumar's VEDALAM and ended up collecting a petite sum of Rs 4 crore on day one!!!

The mad rush of movie buffs in South India could be seen from the fact that both the movies VEDALAM and THOONGAVANAM opened at 4 a.m. on Diwali November 10 thanks to special permission from state government.

Clash of the century! Great grandson Ranbir Kapoor versus great grandpa Prithviraj Kapoor!!

Clash of big budget movies at box office is not a new trend like the recent Shah Rukh Khan’s DILWALE versus Ranveer Singh’s BAJIRAO MASTANI clash on December 18 but among the rarest of rare clashes is the ‘unique’ clash of grandson Ranbir Kapoor’s forthcoming film TAMASHA clashing with his great grandpa, the veteran actor, Prithviraj Kapoor’s movie NANAK NAAM JAHAZ HAI!!!

No, Prithviraj Kapoor’s movie NANAK NAAM JAHAZ HAI is not a new release but it is the digitally resorted version of the 1969 National Award winning film NANAK NAAM JAHAZ HAI that is being re-released in color with modern incorporations like stereophonic sound and cinemascope format just like K.Asif’s cult classic MUGHAL-E-AZAM was re-released in November 2004.

Originally in Punjabi language the movie has been dubbed in various languages and is being released all over the world including North America, Canada, Russia and UK

Incidentally both Ranbir Kapoor’s TAMASHA and Prithviraj Kapoor’s NANAK NAAM JAHAZ HAI are releasing on November 27, 2015. Though the date may hold no significance to Ranbir Kapoor’s film TAMASHA but it has great significance to Prithviraj Kapoor’s film NANAK NAAM JAHAZ HAI as it is the 546th Birth Anniversary of legendary scared saint Guru Nanak Ji.

The major highlight of the film is that it is the only film that stars spiritual guru Dalai Lama, who was then just 24 years, paying his respect at Golden Temple, in the opening sequence of the film.

Filmmaker Rahul Mittra on being asked instead of releasing the restored version why didn’t he remake the film, he smiled, “Well classic like MUGHAL-E-AZAM or SHOLAY cannot be remade. Further today we do not have any actor who could live up to the performance of the great Prithviraj Kapoor.”

On being quizzed about any particular reason to release the film, he said, “In today’s scenario when the nation is battling with the heat intolerance, I thought it is the right time to release the movie because the film brings home the message of love, compassion and secularism. Hope the film succeeds in reviving the feelings of peace and harmony.”

Filmmaker Shaad Ali falls back on his mentor Mani Ratnam for success! To remake 'O KADHAL KANMANI'

In Hindi there is a popular axiom Laut Ke Buddhu Ghar Ko Aaye... which literally means to repent after committing idiocy.

It seems the axiom suits to a perfect T to define young and dynamic filmmaker Shaad Ali because after a series of failures and setbacks the young and dynamic filmmaker is back to his roots i.e. relying once again on his mentor South film wizard Mani Ratnam for success.

According to latest reports Shaad Ali peeved after the disastrous failure of his past two big budget multi starrer films viz JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM (2007) and KILL DIL (2014) has decided to remake Mani Ratnam's Tamil super hit film, 'O KADHAL KANMANI' starring Malayalam superstar Mammootty’s son Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen.

It may be noted that Shaad Ali, who began his career as assistant with Mani Ratnam in DIL SE has been highly influenced by his style of making. Hence when made his debut in Bollywood, to be on a safer side, he remade Mani Ratnam's Tamil film 'ALAIPAYUTHEY' (2000) and the movie hit the bull’s eye.

Once again when Shaad Ali’s career is at the cross road he has decided to lean on his mentor’s shoulder.

What is interesting is that 'O KADHAL KANMANI' itself has been a saving grace for the brilliant director because after 'ALAIPAYUTHEY' (2000) Mani Ratnam had struggled to give a single hit.

Remember after ALAIPAYUTHE, Mani Ratnam had directed 7 films viz. – KANNATHIL MUTHAMITTAL (2002) in Tamil, a bilingual YUVA (2004) in Hindi which became AAYUDHE EZHUTHU in Tamil, another bilingual RAAVAN (2010) in Hindi and RAAVANAN in Tamil, and KADAL (2013) in Tamil.

Out of these films only GURU (2007) in Hindi proved a commercial hit and then after a gap of 8 years 'O KADHAL KANMANI' (2015) hit the jackpot!

We hopes like Mani Ratnam, Shaad Ali too is able to give a hit!
