Sidharth Malhotra tells Kamaal R Khan to SHUT UP!

'Brothers' star Sidharth Malhotra got very angry and irritated when Kamaal R Khan made a derogatory comment about Alia Bhatt. It was when; Sidharth and Alia took to Twitter to post the cover photograph of a magazine, in which they are seen in swim wear. KRK is always known for his silly and offensive comments to Bollywood celebrities, like Sonakshi Sinha, Ram Gopal Verma, Karan Johar and Kapil Sharma and many more.

Sir Ji @S1dharthM 130Cr ppl of India also try very hard to tell you to stop acting but you keep doing films to harass them.

— KRK (@kamaalrkhan) February 27, 2016

Kamaal, summed up the conversation by saying that he will take English classes from Sidharth. Both the stars have remained mum on the rumours over their relationship, but after this banter we can guess the relationship that they both have.

'Aligarh' has Manoj Bajpayee's finest performance till date - Hansal Mehta

His last couple of films have been hard hitting affairs. Be it 'Shahid' or 'Aligarh', director Hansal Mehta has stepped into a zone which has shook many a viewer, courtesy the realistic depiction of some heartbreaking tales that were waiting to be told on screen. Now with Aligarh, which is based on the real life tale of Dr. Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras from Aligarh Muslim University who was sacked from his position on charges of homosexuality in 2010, one expects nothing less, what with accomplished actors like Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkummar Rao stepping into the fold.

"Well, the film is very close to me and I have been traveling with it to various film festivals. I have seen the response across the globe with different kind of audiences," says Hansal, "In fact when I saw the first cut of the film, I told Manoj there and then that this is his finest performance till date. This is the crowning glory of his career. To be playing an old man and that too with alternate sexuality brings in so much baggage for an actor. With Aligarh, he has given a very sublime interpretation to the whole theme."

It was way back in year 2000 when Hansal Mehta and Manoj Bajpayee had come together for Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar, a dark comedy that had moments of brilliance in there. Circa 2016 and the director-actor duo is coming back with 'Aligarh', a real life drama that is expected to shock and move the audience. Even as the film arrives after gaining quite a few accolades globally, Hansal is happy to have reunited with Manoj for 'Aligarh' which is expected to open the Pandora's Box.

"There is no change in the Manoj of 2000 and 2016," says Hansal, "For me, even at that time the kind of work that he did or the kind of effort that he put in was of top quality. Nothing has changed. Back then he had done Shool which boasted of one of his best performances. From there to Aligarh, Manoj has just grown further as an actor."

On a personal level too, Hansal believes that things have now gone to the next level.

"As a human being, Manoj has matured over the years. That goes for me as well as both of us have matured. From 'Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar' to 'Aligarh', it has been one eventful journey for the both of us," smiles Hansal before signing off.

Written by Apurva Asrani and produced by Karma Pictures & Eros International, 'Aligarh' releases this Friday.

Sanjay Dutt's biopic has fantastic story: Rajkumar Hirani

It is known fact that Rajkumar Hirani has been working on the script of Sanjay Dutt’s biopic for a while now. However, although the filmmaker, along with co-writer Abhijat Joshi, is almost ready with the final draft of the script, some of the most crucial parts of the movie will be written when the actor is released from jail by the end of this month.

Quoted our source, "Rajkumar Hirani doesn’t want to take any chances. That’s why, although he has nearly finished work on the final draft of the script, he will work on some of the most crucial parts of the story after Sanjay finishes his sentence."

In fact, the 53-year-old filmmaker is looking forward to an extensive session with Sanjay, either towards the end of February or in March. "I have finished a few drafts of the script, which I even bounced off Sanjay, when he was out (on parole). I took all his inputs into consideration, as to where we were going right or wrong," stated Hirani.

The filmmaker, who has worked with the actor on the successful 'Munna Bhai' series, admits that he finds Sanjay’s life very interesting and fascinating. "It's an unbelievable story. We aren’t going to glorify anything about Sanjay, but we will tell a fantastic story. Script-wise, this film requires less work, so I should be able to make it faster," added Hirani.

Anupam Kher hurt on Pakistan's decision

International and Bollywood actor Anupam Kher opened up saying that he was hurt by Pakistan's decision as to not hand him visa for his visit to Karachi for a literature festival. He recently said in a news conference, "I am not angry at anyone, I am hurt and saddened. I did not personally ask for a visa, the organisers of the Karachi Literature Festival did.” He also added saying, "For the last 15 days, all my visa documents are ready. The organiser of the Karachi lit fest said that (Pakistan) government officials told her ‘don’t invite Anupam Kher’. I don’t know why."

Has my visa been denied because I speak about India's rich tradition of tolerance or I am a Kashmiri Pandit who may expose Pak terror nexus?

Anupam Kher (@AnupamPkher) February 2, 2016

According to sources, a Pakistani diplomat earlier said Kher had not submitted any visa application. It was in the month of May last year that the actor was first denied a visa to Pakistan. He was going to visit Lahore for an event hosted by an NGO but it was denied on security grounds. This time, he was invited as a guest for the three-day Karachi Literature Festival, which begins on Friday. Upset about his denial he said, "Has my visa been denied because I speak about India’s rich tradition of tolerance or I am a Kashmiri Pandit who may expose Pak terror nexus? Indian government welcomes Pakistan based writers, artists, actors etc. Pakistan government bans entry of Indian actors. Why fear a free dialogue."

Finally Anupam says, "I feel bad for all those people who were looking forward to meet me in Pakistan and vice versa". Other Indian celebs who will be present at the literature festival are Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, Rahul Singh, Om Arora, Urvashi Butalia and Ashok Chopra.

Director Raja Menon enters 100 Crore Club with 'Airlift'

Akshay Kumar's Airlift was clearly the choice of audience over the weekend gone by. Even in its second weekend, it did better than the new releases (Mastizaade, Saala Khadoos) which tells the tale. After holding quite well on Friday, it started escalating on Saturday and Sunday, hence resulting in a bountiful weekend of 19.26 crore*. As a result, the film now currently stands at 102.76 crore*.

With this, the film has now crossed the 100 crore mark in 10 days flat, an achievement by all means, especially considering the fact that this was a niche drama in the offering with offbeat cinema meeting commercial parameters. Director Raja Menon is now the newest entrant into the 100 crore club and he has managed that with a film which would gain him a lot of respect as well as commercial viability.

Star presence of Akshay Kumar has further helped the film reach out to a larger section of the audience. For the actor, it is a proud moment indeed as the film has joined the 100 crore club, which is dominated by hardcore commercial flicks like Rowdy Rathore and Housefull 2, along with Holiday which was an action affair too. The actor would next be seen in Housefull 3, another sure-shot 100 crore flick in the offering, and rest assured, the film after that - Rustom - would definitely entice that segment of audience which has helped Airlift turn out to be a very good success.

The weekdays would be stable for Airlift as well since it is the only film currently in the running with universal appeal to it. It would have to make the best of these four days since Sunny Deol's Ghayal Once Again arrives on Friday and the film is set to find good opening at the Box Office.
