Another one of his songs that commands some touching emotions, evoking the deepest emotions in us would be ‘Pookal pookum tharunam’ from the movie Madrasapattinam. This song one could say is a well – structured song in terms of the visuals too. A duet with one of the leading female singers – harini, this song is wonderful listen at any time of the day. The usage of instruments is par excellence in this song, credits to G.V.Prakash Kumar who is the music director of the movie.

Other wonderful songs that we could add to this man’s kitty would be from the movie Ninaithale which released in the year 2007. Although not a very great hit, the movie did its share of small rounds. Roop kumar rathod sang the song ‘Anandam Anandam’  in this movie.  He is also the voice behind the other beautiful number from the movie – ‘kakkai siraginile’. With music composed by Vijay Antony in this movie, one can expect a difference in the tone of the songs.

Roopkumar Rathod has also sung a number in the recent entrant – ‘Nedunchaalai’. The track titled ‘Injathea’, this is a duet with ace singer Madhushree.

The lady made everyone ask for ‘once more’! Wondering why? With her entry in the Tamil film industry in the movie ‘Once more’ with Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Simran was the most sought after heroine for over a decade. This top actress of the Tamil film industry at one point had over 5 films releasing in the same year.  Her acting was well appreciated for the movie Nerukku NerNatpukkaga in her entry levels. What gave her a wonderful break was ofcourse S.J Surya’s Vaali. Her role commanded the pace of the movie. With brilliant acting showcased, she managed to capture the attention of famous directors in the industry too. Be it a glam doll, or a obedient wife, Simran plays it all with ease. She assumed the role of a wife in Priyamanavale and was lauded for her mature acting.

Simran ofcourse is also known for her wonderful dancing abilities. ‘Altota bhupathi’ could not have been a hit if not for Simran shaking a leg there!  Similarly the song ‘Calcutta pan’ was a hit where she made a special appearance too. If we had to name one of her contributions as outstanding, it would be her role for the movie Kovil patti Veeralakshmi. Infact Simran was even nominated for a Filmfare Award for this role particularly. After taking a quick sabbatical post her wedding, she was welcomed back with extended hands in the industry. Her portrayal as ‘Malini’ in the movie Vaaranam Aayiram suited the maturity she exhibited in her acting. Infact ‘Mundinam parthene’,apart from the brilliant vocals also became a hit also because of the wonderful settings we see the actors romance in this song.

A woman with extreme talents, Simran has always portrayed perfection in terms of dancing, emotions being brought out through her characters. We wish the actress a very happy birthday.
