“The thespian is hale and healthy,” said, Udaya Tara Nayar, Ex editor of Screen and a close friend of Dilip Kumar, who has also compiled Dilip Kumar’s autobiography titled The Substance and the Shadow. "I met him and he is fine now. He will be discharged by Thursday afternoon. He should be back home by 1 p.m. or 2 p.m," said Nayar. "As far his birthday plans are concerned, it will be a quiet celebration only with his close friends,” she quipped.

Raaga.Com wishes the great actor a health life and enlightens readers how he has inspired generations of actors through his mesmerizing performances.

The highlight of Dilip Kumar’s credential as an actor is his versatility as an actor who loved to experiment with different roles. Thus if he could convey the pathos of a tragic lover in DEVDAS (1955) convincing, he could generate humor playing the dual role in RAM AUR SHYAM (1967). Similarly while he was adept in romantic roles like MUGHAL-E-AZAM (1960) he proved he could even play anti hero in ANDAAZ (1949), which by many is regarded as a risk he took, when he was riding smoothly as hero. Later in GANGA JUMUNA when he played a hard core dacoit, even his hardened critics were taken by surprise.

In the 80’s with action films ruling the roost Dilip Kumar proved his versatility yet again playing underworld don in movies like VIDHATA, DUNIYA, MASHAAL etc.

Superstar of the Millennium, Amitabh Bachchan rates him as the finest actor ever. In his blog Amitabh writes, “ Dilip Kumar sahab is my idol and has been since the day I first saw his work. He has been an inspiration not just for me but I am certain to thousands of those that have ever dreamt of facing a camera for the art form called cinema. His presence his aura and his dedication to film shall be documented as ‘before Dilip Kumar and after Dilip Kumar’.

The top position is won by Bollywood hunk Hrithik Roshan, who toppled Pakistani singer turned Bollywood heartthrob Ali Zafar to win the prestigious crown of World's Sexiest Asian Man.

It may be noted that Hrithik Roshan has the distinction of topping the 50 Sexiest Asian Men in the world for the third time. Earlier he topped the chart for two consecutive years in 2011 and 2012 but lost to Pakistan’s handsome star Ali Zafar in 2013 but yet again in 2014 he has acquired the title.

Thanking the Magazine 'Eastern Eye’ for the honor Hrithik said, “I am humbled by the desirable tag. I believe sexy is less to do with the physical and more to do with the mental perspective on life, others and yourself.”

The title is looked upon in high esteem by the actors because the magazine annually conducts a poll where the audience contributes its part and shares its view in the form of vote. Thus the ranking is judged by the readers hence the actor’s gauge their popularity through the poll.

The surprise element in this year’s list is that none of Bollywood actors like Ranveer Singh, Sidharth Malhotra or Arjun Kapoor featuring in top 10 list. Instead television actor Kushal Tandon, seen in TV serial EK HAZAARON MEIN MERI BEHNA HAI, and in BIGG BOSS session VII is the runner up in this year's list and last year's winner Ali Zafar has slipped to third place on the ratings released here on Wednesday.

The other actor who come in top 10 list include TV actor Vivian D'Sena (4); Shahid Kapoor (5), Barun Sobti (6), Fawad Khan (7) Ranbir Kapoor (8) and Salman Khan (10).

Tamil film industry superstar Suriya, who has to his credits hits like GHAJINI (2005), VAARANAM AAYIRAM (2008), AYAN (2009), SINGAM (2010) AND SINGAM II (2013) is the only south star in the list at 50th position
