It seems Indian Cinema is going great gun as many Hollywood actors who once looked down Indian cinema with disgrace are merrily accepting Indian films.
After the sensational news of Hollywood iconic superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger agreeing to play the main antagonist in Rajinikanth’s upcoming film ENDHIRAN 2 (ROBOT 2 in Hindi), the latest buzz is that Sylvestor Stallone, another mega international star has given his nod to play a full fledge role in Salman Khan forthcoming film SULTAN!!!
It may be remembered not long back Sylvestor Stallone has tweeted that he was impressed with Salman Khan’s huge fan following and had expressed his desire to act opposite Salam in an action film.
It’s reported taking this into account film director Ali Abbas Zafar and Salman Khan were in talks with Sylvestor Stallone and he has nodded to do the film.
It may be noted that unlike Arnold Schwarzenegger, who would be making his debut in Indian cinema with Shanker directed Telugu film ENDHIRAN 2, Sylvestor Stallone is not new Indian cinema.
In 2009 Sylvester Stallone has played a cameo in Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor -starrer KAMBAKKHT ISHQ as an obligation to his long time friend Sajid Nadiadwala, who produced the film.
However in Salman Khan’s SULTAN Sylvester Stallone has full-fledged role of a veteran wrestler turned trainer, who plays an important in role in motivating and bringing back a down and out wrestler into the ring after a long spell.
The role is somewhat similar to Naseeruddin Shah’s role of an ex-cricketer inspiring and giving wings to the dream of deaf and mute 18 year old boy-into a national cricketer in Nagesh Kukunoor’s hit film IQBAL.
Produced by Yash Raj Film and directed Ali Abbas Zafar SULTAN has been in news for sharing a similarity with Aamir Khan’s upcoming film DANGAL but now it appears with Sylvester Stallone joining the SULTAN crew, the film will have an edge over DANGAL.
Secondly Salman Khan’s look in the film too has been appreciated more than Aamir Khan’s bulky look.
So let’s wait and watch who wins Salman Khan’s SULTAN or Aamir Khan’s DANGAL?
