Every actress in Bollywood attempts to look as gorgeous and seductive as possible but it seems Kangana Ranaut is an exceptional. Remember her girl-next-door ordinary looks in QUEEN and her bucked tooth boyish look appearance in TANU WEDS MANU RETURNS.
Now hold your breath because in her latest upcoming film KATTI BATTI being directed by the brilliant filmmaker Nikhil Advani, Kangana Ranaut has crossed all boundaries of ugliness and has daringly spotted a bald look!!
In Bollywood many actors have spotted bald look like Aamir Khan in GAJINI, Salman Khan in TERE NAAM, Shahid Kapoor in HAIDER, Rajinikanth in SHIVAJI –THE BOSS, Sanjay Dutt in AGNEEPATH etc. Recently Ranveer Kapoor has shaved his hairs to spot a bald look in his forthcoming film BAJIRAO MASTANI.
However unlike male actors very few actresses have spotted a bald look in films. To be precious just two actresses have dared to look unconventional. One Priyanka Chopra, who did not hesitate to shave her hair for an important scene in MARY KOM and second being Kangana Ranaut in KATTI BATTI,.
Interestingly once a filmmaker had offered Shilpa Shetty a challenging role that required her to shave hairs but she declined the film and the filmmaker had to shelve the film as none of the Bollywood beauties dared to take the risk but there are exception like the two other great actresses of Indian Cinema, Shabana Azmi and Nandita Das!
When international fame filmmaker Deepa Mehta was making the film WATER, exploring the lives of widows at an ashram in Varanasi, she had signed Shabana Azmi and Nandita Das to play the widows for which both the actresses had readily shaved their hairs.
However due to religious controversy the film was shelved. Later Deepa Mehta did revives the film but with lesser known actresses.
