Sex bomb Katrina Kaif has created a flutter in Bollywood with her stunning remark stating that more than working with the ‘Khans’ of Bollywood she is more interested in working in good films and do work!
In an interview to a leading national daily she categorically said, “People want to work with Khans because they are icons of Hindi cinema, but I don’t think working with the three Khan’s of Bollywood is everything.” “If you are an actor, your job is to act and be part of a good film and do good work,” she quipped!
Katrina who has worked with all the three Khans viz. Shah Rukh Khan in JAB TAK HAIN JAAN; Salman Khan (EK THA TIGER) and Aamir Khan (DHOOM 3) is focusing on doing sensible films where she could explore her histrionics as an actress and for this she doesn’t mind with whom she is working.
“Every actor aspires for creative satisfaction and this is the reason I am concentrating on films that give me an opportunity to act,” she informed.
Regarding her work with the Khans of Bollywood she said, “Even in the films which I’ve done with Salman and Shah Rukh - ‘EK THA TIGER’ and ‘JAB TAK HAI JAAN’ - both were extremely strong roles for me. So, I don’t think it’s just about whom you are acting with,”
Sticking to her new aspiration to act in intellectual films Katrina is keeping her fingers crossed for her upcoming film FITOOR, in which she shares screen opposite Aditya Roy Kapur and has the pleasure of working opposite veteran actress Rekha.
FITOOR is being directed by young and intelligent filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor, who has to his credits critically acclaimed movies like ROCK ON!! and KAI PO CHE!
Speaking about the her latest film FITOOR Katrina said, “The movie is based on the classic novel ‘Great Expectations’ written by celebrated English author Charles Dickens’. In this movie I play a Pakistani girl. The movie is sentimental tale of passionate relationship between three characters - a young Kashmiri boy named Noor (Aditya), his girlfriend Firdaus (myself) and the Begum (Rekha). I am quite excited about the movie.”
