Priyanka Chopra applauds Twinkle Khanna on her take on ‘AIB Roast’

Rajesh Khanna’s darling daughter and superstar Akshay Kumar’s wife Twinkle Khanna has taken the nation by storm by criticizing the hypocrisy and the fake morality of society.

Targeting the hue and cry made over the infamous show ‘AIB Roast’ video Twinkle said that she agrees that the AIB show should have restrained itself in making such malicious gags and jibes but to go lose at such trivial issue when there are much more significant issue facing the country is nothing but utter nonsense.

Lambasting the so called saviors of moral and ethics of the society she attacked, "Instead of pumping our energy and strength on debating about the nuisance of AIB, shouldn't we save our strength to protest against things that really matter - like gangs of men still killing and raping women as they did again in Rohtak.”

In her article she raises some really heart rendering issues that need urgent attention but are ignored like the country spends $38.35 billion on warfare but is slashing our health care budget by 20% despite being a country whose public spending on health is already among the lowest in the world.

She adds that the government has passed a proposal for building a 182-metre-tall Statue of Unity project and another Rs 1,900 crore for erecting statue in the Arabian Sea, when the country is facing acute fund for education. Only 10% of our children have access to education beyond higher secondary schooling?

In addition she questions, “ I am amazed at the at people who are up in arms about the gags made on a person’s sexuality but shouldn’t we be more offended by the fact that homosexuality is considered illegal in India despite Section 377 still exists?”

Praising her bold column Priyanka Chopra congratulated Twinkle Khanna for exposing the hypocritical mindset of some holier-than-thou types, who've been going on and on about the AIB show. In her tweet Priyanka tweeted "Such imperative questions! Well done!''

Truly Twinkle Khanna deserves kudos for are her article. I am reminded of famous poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz who had rightly said…

Aur bhi gham hain zamane mein mohabbat ke siwa …..

(There are many more problems in the world, than just love)
