Film critics and celebrities bowled over by SHAMITABH!

It seems filmmaker R. Balki has hit a hat trick! After excelling in CHEENI KUM, and PAA, Balki in his third installment with Amitabh Bachchan in SHAMITABH has bowled the critics as well as Bollywood celebrities.

The critics are so impressed by the movie’s novel script, brilliant treatment and last but the least the powerhouse performances from its lead actors Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush that they have declared SHAMITABH as one of the finest movie ever made.

Hema Malini in her tweet praising the movie said that she was left spellbound by the brilliant acting of its lead cast. She tweeted, “Amitabhji is outstanding in his role but what is most commendable is that Dhanush and young Akshara have ably supporting him and are quite at par!”

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta mesmerized by the movie in his tweets recommends the movie, particularly to those who criticize Bollywood for making trash. He sarcastically tweeted, “Enjoyed SHAMITABH... Loved SHAMITABH!!! Don't cry for a good film... Go watch SHAMITABH!”

The highpoint of the movie is Balki’s knack for exploring the histrionics of Amitabh Bachchan. After many years he has yet again tapped the iconic alcoholic act of Amitabh Bachchan that took him to stardom with his famous mirror act in AMAR AKBAR ANTHONY.

Secondly Balki has brilliantly exploited Bachchan’s magnetic baritone to the hilt. Never before any filmmaker has ever imagined of exploring the rich voice of Amitabh Bachchan so innovatively as Balki uses in SHAMITABH! In fact Amitabh’s voice is the real hero of the movie!

Speaking about the story Daanish (Dhanush) is a mute actor who aspires to be a film star. He is discovered by Akshara (Akshara Haasan, an assistant director, who helps him to the path of stardom with the assistance of Amitabh Sinha (Amitabh Bachchan) an alcoholic ex-actor to be Daanish’s voice. However how ego clashes between Dhanush and Amitabh create hurdles and how the media exploits their tussle makes the crux of the movie.

SHAMITABH opens today for the public, with such fantastic reviews by the critics; one expects SHAMITABH to set new box office records.
