Bollywood’s Most Anticipated Biopics of 2015

With Biopics becoming a success formula it is really good that Bollywood is focusing on personalities whose life are inspiring and motivation like Priyanka Chopra in MARY KOM, Farhan Akhtar’s BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG, Irrfan Khan’s PAAN SINGH TOMAR. Raaga.Com takes a look at few biopics that are different and serve the viewers to motivate. 

Vidya Balan, who re-lived the late actress Silk Smitha in THE DIRTY PICTURE, has been roped in to play the legendary Carnatic exponent's life. The movie will be directed by noted cinematographer and Tamil film-maker, Rajiv Menon. The movie will enlighten the viewers about the great singer, who has the honor of becoming the first musician to be awarded Bharat Ratna.

Anurag Kashyap, the intelligent filmmaker after winning laurels for producing a biopic on Shahid Azmi, a human right activist, the filmmaker has apparently set his sight on Vashistha Narayan Singh, a celebrated mathematician who has worked with NASA, IIT-Kanpur and the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. 

Filmmaker Karan Johar has bought the rights to make a biopic on hockey legend Dhyan Chand, a three-time Olympic gold medal winner and was widely popular as ‘The Wizard’ due to his control on the ball. Reports earlier said that Shah Rukh Khan, is likely to play the lead role in Dhyan Chand biopic. However, official announcement on the casting is still to be made.

Ranbir Kapoor will be living legendary Bollywood singer and actor Kishore Kumar on screen. The biopic on Kishore Kumar is to be directed by Anurag Basu. "Everyone knows Kishore Kumar was a great singer and an actor. It’s a great opportunity to do a biopic on him. But at the same time it is my duty as an actor to do full justice to my role and the film. It is a huge responsibility," Ranbir told reporters on signing the film. 

Filmmaker Neeraj Pandey’s biopic on cricket’s most dashing captain M S Dhoni is another interesting biopic. Sushant Singh Rajput will be seen playing Dhoni. 

And last but not the least the most anticipated biopic of 2015 will be Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt.

It is has been confirmed that Ranbir Kapoor is slated to play Dutt in the movie. Hirani says, “ Sanju Baba’s life is rollercoaster and the life he has lived is unbelievable. We don't want to glorify him or anything. I want to tell the story with all his flaws.”
