heart throb Salman Khan, who is yet to come out from the trial in the infamous
hit-and-run case has once again landed himself in an additional legal turmoil.
According to reports Salman Khan has been booked by the Mumbai police for
allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of a community.
Reports
claim a Mumbai resident Mohammad Asim Mohammad Arif has lodged a complaint
against Salman Khan’s NGO Being Human. Arif in his complaint alleges that in a
fashion show organized by Salman Khan’s NGO Being Human, a model walked on the
ramp wearing a T shirt containing a verse inscribed in Arabic which has sparked
row among the Muslim community
Mohammad
Asim Mohammad Arif briefing the media said, “It is really embarrassing and
disgusting to have Arabic verse inscribed on the t-Shirt and that too by a lady
model displaying her curves. It has truly hurt the religious sentiment of the
community and Salman Khan ought to apology for the disgraceful act.”
Dilip
Chavan, Investigating Officer, investing the case confirmed the report. He
said, “It is true that Salman Khan has been booked under IPC Section 295A (deliberate and malicious acts,
intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion
or religious beliefs) on the basis of a complaint lodged by one Mohammad Asim
Mohammad Arif.” He added, “We are investigating the case. The complainant has also
provided a video clipping of the fashion show to establish his claim.”
Meanwhile the trial in the hit-and-run case
against actor Salman Khan is set to resume from September 24, 2014. It may be
noted the
trial in the case had an obstacle in July this year, when the court was
informed that the original statements of the witnesses had disappeared. But now
the 63 original statements of
witnesses and case diaries that had gone missing from the custody of police
have been found and placed before judge D W Deshpande thus initiating
the trial again.
It’s
really an irony that on one hand Salman Khan is rocking as a superstar holding the
record of being the first Bollywood actor to have seven Rs. 100 crore movies to
his credit: EK THA TIGER, DABANGG 2, BODYGUARD, DABANGG, READY, JAI HO, KICK,
however in real life the actor is facing severe trials and tribulations.
