Though it is true that Mahesh Babu won the title of ‘Prince Mahesh’, with his debut movie Raja Kumarudu (The Prince) because it broke all box office records and fetched him the prestigious Nandi Award for Best Male Debutant but the prime reason why Mahesh is termed as Badshah of Tollywood (King of Tollywood) is that besides giving several box office hits, he is the only the only South Indian actor, who endorses at least a dozen brands - across the spectrum, from mobile phones to FMCGs.

In 2007, Mahesh Babu signed a five-year endorsement deal with the Cola Company, Thums Up to replace Chiranjeevi as its brand ambassador in Andhra Pradesh and what’s more in 2012, he replaced Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar as the national brand ambassador for Thums Up.!

In addition in the 2012 he acquired 1st position in the prestigious ‘Times 50 Most Desirable Men in India’ out beating Bollywood stars like Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan.

Such is the clamour for Mahesh Babu that from Kangana Ranaut to Sonam Kapoor every actress both in Bollywood and Tollywood is dying to work with the mega star. His popularity among movie buff is such that every Tollywood director is ready to vouch out a signing amount that runs into eight digits figure!!!

To add cherry to the cake Mahesh Babu is also the Baadshah of overseas market and has a massive fan following the US. His 2013 hit 1 Nenokkadine, become the fourth highest grosser ever in US!
