An Indian born singer, Abhay Jodhpurkar enrolled himself to be trained in music. He joined the KM Music Conservatory, A.R.Rahman’s initiative to spread music across the country. A wonderful singer that he is, his versatility is amazing. Wondering why? Abhay Jodhpurkar can also sing the Qawwali genre with ease and has been trained in the school for excelling in this genre.

He entered the industry of play back singing in the year 2012 itself with three songs for the movie Godfather, the kannada version for which A.R.Rahman was the one who composed music. He sang along with popular names like Sonu Kakkar, Chinmayi, Arun haridas and so on.

In the same year , he also sang for the movie ‘Konjam koffee konjam kadhal’ , a wonderful song named ‘uyir thozhi’ in Phani kalyan’s tunes. This too gave him a good push in his career. Well, being A.R.Rahman’s favourite he was called again in 2013 to sing ‘Moongil Thottam’ for the movie Kadal by Mani Ratnam. This song, a wonderful duet along with female lead Harini was a hit from the movie and is an apt choice for some melody mood songs.

The song ‘Otthayilai’ from the Endrendrum punnagai was pretty famous and Abhay yet again got a chance to sing alongside a great singer like Tippu for this. The music was scored by Harris Jayaraj for the movie. An blossoming flower in the industry, Abhay surely has a long way to go with already one hit this year – ‘Vinmeen’ from the movie Thegidi.
