Ankit Tiwari, who gained stardom with his hit song Sunn Raha Hai Na Tu… in the super hit movie AASHIQUI 2 has
disgraced music by allegedly being involved in a rape case.
Though
Anikt has discarded the news as a plot to tarnish his image the Versova police
has locked him in police custody till May 26 after his girlfriend filled an FIR
against him on charges of rape.
According
to Police inspector Machidra Vadkhe the victim Nidhi Khanna(28), alleged that
Anikt has been physically exploiting her since July 2013 on the pretext of
marring her. However when he declined to marry her she lodged a complaint in
writing to ACP and the concerned DCP.
Ankit
defending himself admits that though he had been in an affair with her since
last year but when he and his family came to know that Niddhi is a divorcee with
one minor daughter, he ended the relation.
