Remembering film celebrities who bid adieu in 2015

Duniya se jaane wale; Jaane chale jate hai kaha

Kaise dhude koi unko; Nahi kadamo ke bhi nisha

How true words because people who leave this world for heavenly abode never come back and till date mankind has not been able to trace where the mortals go as there is no impression even of their foot prints. Thus with the year 2015 coming to its end many talented celebrities of Indian cinema bid us adieu. Raaga.Com remembers these departed souls and pray they rest in peace. 

Taking about Bollywood it lost two veteran celebrities viz. actor Saeed Jaffrey, who died on November 15 at the ripe age of at 86 and the bewitching beautiful actress Sadhana died on 25th December at the age of 74 years.


While Saeed Jaffrey was the first Indian actor to open doors for Indian actor in Hollywood, Sadhana was known as the First Diva of Indian Cinema who set many fashion trends among the youth. She introduced the fringe hairstyle to the industry and made it a fashion statement. 

Besides these two legends Bollywood lost two music wizards Ravindra Jain, who continued the legacy of classical music in Bollywood and young music director Aadesh Srivastata, who composed music for more than 100 Hindi films died in Mumbai due to cancer on September 5, a day after he turned 51.

Among those who expired in South Indian cinema include M S Viswanathan aka MSV and popularly known as Mellisai Mannar (The king of light music). He worked in over 750 films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. He died on 14th July. 

Manorama, also known as Aachi, was the other veteran Tamil actress to expire this year on October 10. She held the Guinness world record of acting in over 1,000 films. She also acted with five chief ministers including Anna Durai, M G Ramachandran, M Karunanidhi, N T Rama Rao and J Jayalalithaa.

Popular Telugu actor Ahuti Prasad died of cancer at a private hospital in Hyderabad on 4 January.

31-year-old Telugu actress Aarthi Agarwal shocks the film industry by her sudden death in June. 

Tollywood comedian, Kolluri Chidambara Rao, popularly known as 'Kallu' Chidambaram died of a respiratory ailment when he was 67 on 19th October

Popular Punjabi and Bollywood singer Labh Janjua, known for his hit songs London Thumakda (QUEEN), Dil Kare Chu Che (SINGH IS BLIING) died on October 22 under mysterious circumstances.
